Valerie’s Career as a Massage Therapist
She continued her studies at the Baltimore School of Massage and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1996. Currently, Valerie is a national and state-certified member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). Her specialties include Neuromuscular pain relief massage, CranioSacral therapy, Somato Release work, and Lymphatic Drainage.
Additional Expertise
In addition to her experience in the medical field, Valerie is also trained in deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial, and LaStone body techniques. In 2006, Valerie returned to school to study anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal tract and later on became a Colon Hydrotherapist as well. She is now certified at the national, international, and advanced levels of this field.
An Established Name in the Industry
Valerie's skills, knowledge, and expertise have given her the qualifications of a refined massage therapist and educator. Aside from being a medical professional, she also shares her knowledge by teaching nutrition, detoxification, and general colon maintenance. Valerie taught medical massage for 12 years at the college of southern Maryland as an instructor in the massage therapy program. She has been a native to this area and is well known throughout the professional community and locally through many friends and relatives.
